Arkada's Akryl Ag acrylic with silver

Acrylic powder for nail reconstruction, part of the Arcade Method.

It is based on a powder known and tested in podiatry offices, which, when combined with a liquid, transforms into acrylic resin. The special ingredient is biocompatible silver. The special use of AArkada Silver makes the correction of ingrown nails and the reconstruction of nail plate defects even more effective and comprehensive.

Podiatry's answer to nail aesthetics in the treatment of fungal infections or ingrown nails is acrylic formulations. We went one step further and developed an acrylic formulation with bacteriostatic properties that not only improves appearance but also supports the treatment of mycosis. For this, we used silver.

Effective against bacteria and fungi

Studies have shown that the presence of Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria and Candida albicans fungi in cosmetics is significantly reduced by adding silver compounds at a concentration of 0.005%.

How does it work? Sulphur ions are present in the cell walls of disease-causing micro-organisms. The silver ions in the preparation have an affinity for them. By binding to the sulphur ions, they block the respiratory process of the bacteria or fungi. This in turn causes the death of the micro-organisms.

Traditional acrylic preparations effectively mask the damage caused by nail diseases. Silver power is the ideal solution during treatment - it not only masks, but also speeds up the return to full health.
